Question:

am i set to breed leopard geckos?

i want to breed leopard geckos, and i have the following:1 18x18tank (for the male im getting)tubs to house the females1 incubator 2 leopard geckos (getting more at teh toronto expo)1 foury gallon breeder (to house the babies while i sell them off) with all the equipment neededand i am gettingvirmiculitemore tubsmore geckos so, after i get all these things, am i ready to breed? i understand how to breed, i just want to know if there is anything im missing.also, although i have been keeping leopard geckos for a long time now, (along wiht uromastyx and other reptiles), this is my first time going to an expo (im kind of shy around lots of people), and i was wondering how much adult leos and baby leos go for at a expo? i mean basic morphs like tangerine and normals.

Answer:

If you're doing this in hopes of making money - DON'T and vermiculite is not good for any reptile that might eat it , it will KILL them if they do !! Takes a lot of expertise to breed reptiles - it's not a simple task of having males and females - which may or may not like each other or get alone which can then lead to injury death. eggs cannot be turned when moved, temps determine gender etc, etc. Take Care
