Well.. I'm trying to breed my own crickets for my bearded, as they can tend to be expensive and my dragon eats an easy 30-50 per day. My dragon won't touch veggies, I've tried for months so once things get going I plan to start gut loading veggies.I have my crickets in a large tub, with 3 egg flats. I'm currently housing aprox. 400 crickets but they don't seem to be breeding. I believe the females are laying eggs through the water source (Gel H2O) instead of the vermiculite. On another note, there are always 30-100 males crawling over the vermiculite and only females on the water gel. What's going wrong, what do I need to change?
Some moons are trapped meteors, while others, like our Moon, were created when it was torn away from the planet it orbits. Our moon is mostly iron and rock as it was formed millions of years ago when the Earth was still a molten planet.
Usually they are made up of space dust and rock that have been fussed together...but in the case of our moon...it is actually made up of a piece of earth that was broken off when an asteroid blew into it....at least thats the scientists hypothesis
Moons orbiting relatively close to the planet on prograde orbits (regular satellites) are believed to have been formed out of the same collapsing region of protoplanetary disk that gave rise to its primary. Most irregular satellites (orbiting on distant, inclined, eccentric often retrograde orbits) are thought to be captured asteroids possibly further fragmented by collisions. Many special scenarios exist, including origin in a break-up of the planet. For example, in the case of our Earth's Moon, a portion of the planet itself might have been blasted into orbit by a large impact.
Oxygen, magnesium, aluminum and silicon present over a large area of the Moon's surface. Of course then there is green cheese!
Tapioca pudding and vermiculite.
