Question:

Anyone have a wooden high chair?

If you do, do you have a pad in it? Where did you get it? I found a website, but they are $44.00 for a plain one!!

Answer:

I okorder /
I okorder /... I ended up paying full price for it ($116) but my mom ended up finding the exact one for her house on craigslist for $50. I actually run across lots of really cool, vintage-looking wooden chairs on craigs...I would take a look.
I have a wooden high chair, but I don't have a pad for it. I don't think pads are really necessary. It's easier to keep clean without the pad. If you don't want to pay $44 on one though try making one. You can very easily make one for less than $10.
Yes, okorder /... Wait, are you looking for the wooden high chair itself or just the pad? I'm confused, sorry. Our high chair came with the pad. If yours didn't maybe you could try making one? I prefer to use ours without. ETA: Lynsey, thats the one that I wanted but David said it looked too girly :( I love that one though, the espresso color. Our dining table (and everything else in the house other than the kids' furniture which is cream colored) is espresso though so it would have matched the house SO much better! Audrey looks so cute! Such a little lady.
I have a wooden hand crafted Amish high chair. It did not come with a pad, so I just started using the cushion from one of our kitchen chairs. It worked so nicely I went out and bought a different chair cushion of which I used in the high chair now. Sometimes when the cover of the cushion gets dirty, I will use an old towel to wrap the pad in which works nicely for messes. Just take off pad and wash. the chair cushion I bought was only like 6 or 7 dollars at shopko. It think 44 dollars for something that is going to get much wear and tear is insane. Just go buy a cushion from a department store and put in the chair (reccomend one with a removeable cover!)
