I want to put a decent set of tyres on my car, I cant afford the likes of Michelin as thats what I had on previously and I think theyre over rated personally. So our Avon tyres any good? they seem quite good value for money but what are they like on the road?Thanks

In my area Avin or Avon tires were heavily advertised as a good value well priced tire. They were introduced around the same time as Kuhmo tires. At the time, my neighbor put on a set of Avon tires after having road on Michelin. He returned the tires and put on a set of Kuhmos. I asked him why, since we are car guys. Avons did compare with Michelin just to big of a difference. Kuhmo tires were a far more competent tire. Then he got rid of the car, and he is driving a early 80s Nissan Altima with balding tires. I said nothing, he said nothing. Then, I am hearing he is getting a divorce. So that is my real world experience of Avon tires and if they are any good. lol. I recommend Falken tires. they are at a very good price point and the tires are very good for the money. I have had 3 sets over the years. Best.
Avon manufactures more than a dozen different tire types. I'd suggest you visit some of the sites that have tire reviews and look at what's said about the specific model tire you were thinking of buying. Keep in mind that every type and brand of tire has different characteristics: mileage, ride comfort, handling, stopping distance, noise, tread wear.and every tire has compromises between those characteristics. The is no tire that's good at everything. Pick the characteristics that are most important to you and buy a tire that rates well in those characteristics.
