I want to know if the ceramic heat lamps are as good as the normal ones for night heating of a bearded dragon vivarium as i don‘t think i could sleep with a light constantly on.
Shut off the main breakers to the house, if possible. Be sure your hands are not wet and the fire is not close to the breaker box before attempting this step. Without the two things you mentioned, get out immediately and call the fire dept.
Ceramic heat emitters are usually the strongest type of heater as they are used for desert animals, so they definitely work for Bearded Dragons, you just won't be able to see your animal at night without any regular type of lighting. The infrared lighting or even blue or black lights which are also used as night heating usually aren't very bright; you would be surprised how easily you get adjusted to the light, similar to the filter sound of a fish tank if you've ever had one of those.
If you took the time to ask that question while the fire is burning then it may be too late to avoid damage. My best advise is to cut off the power supply the fastest way possible. Your required to have a fire extingusher in yor home so don't tell your insurance compony. Shshshsh!
Turn off all the power to the building (Main breaker) treat it as any other fire and spray water on it.
