Question:

Are motorcycle and car tire pressure gauges the same?

What should the pressure be on the 2005 EX250? I am new to motorcycles, so if you have any other helpful maintenance advice to share, please do! Thank you!

Answer:

tire pressure is tire pressure, so the guage that works for cars will work on bike tires too. Usually the pressure is 28 front and 32 rear, but the pressure can be adjusted up o down to suit your riding style and preference. The owners manual has the recommended pressures listed in it. If your ike does not have one, get one They are well worth the investment. Better still, get the Kawasaki service manual which again will list all the proceedures and specs for the bike.
the best thing to do with tyre pressures is to follow the makers recommendations then try riding the bike, then raise and lower the pressures by 3or 4 psi. testing the bike to dsee which setting suits Your style of riding. For maintenance knowledge, buy a workshop manual on the bike and start studying. Tyre pressure gauges are the same for all tyres.
