I go to a regular public high school and it's not really suiting my needs (drawing and music wise)I saw theres a performing arts school near where I live and I want to sign up for it, excluding the talent of course, is it hard to get into these schools? Sorry if this is confusing. xD
It depends on what preforming arts school you want to get in to. Before high school started for me I tried to get into St.Paul Conservatory for the Performing arts and got excepted but decided not to go. They look at your grades,interest in the arts, and you have to audition.
Just like any other college, there's good ones and bad ones. Goods schools like U.C. Berkley School of Music is incredible hard to get into, while your local preforming are school are relatively easy. The better your talent the better school you can get into
style of like an analogous ingredient however the 4 center training there are often much less complicated or extra durable. Then we in general concentration on one in all arts that we substantial in. especially elementary surely wish that facilitates
The video below is good. Look for the website to the school and get an application. Talk to your school counselor or art teacher about it. You might need a portfolio of work so prepare one. If you aren't accepted, look for local artists to be your mentors. Everyone wants to help the sincere seeker. I find free/inexpensive art and music classes all over. You can ask local stores and businesses to exhibit your work. There are free online portfolios where you can share and promote your work. As important as theory and practice are, the most important thing is a business sense--- marketing your work, performing your music. Go for it. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
