even after critcally aclaimed awards the ps3 has the highest rated games for an average over 360,and wii.however people dont seem to care...PS3 4 LIF3
this is the kind of website where i dont like to listen to what they have to say first of all the wii is outselling the ps3 because every little kid out there has the wii second the ps3 isnt selling well because of the price but will pick up in August with the price drop of the ps3 and then once the ps3 slim arrives it will skyrocket with sales for the 360 it will always be a system thats talked about for halo some people play that game alone for years
Its because the PS3 console is behind the Wii and 360 in sales so, naturally, game sales are gonna suffer. 59.99 price tag for a game doesn't help either. Doesn't really have to do with the actual quality of the game. Also, the low sales figures are for US only. There are a bunch of PS3 exclusive titles selling like hot cakes in Europe and Japan.
Well since there are more people in the 360 and the Wii than the PS3 which means that they would be less people buying games if there are less people buying a PS3. Also, (I maybe wrong) There are so many good exclusive games that are out on the PS3. And it's hard to get them all or choose which one to get since there's a lot of great exclusives. I've tried to get them all, but it's really hard cause games are too expensive and there's so many that I want to get. Overall to answer your Q, I believe that games are getting high ratings, but it's lacking on sales. So they are doing good as being a good game, but they fail to get people to buy their games compared to the other competitors
PS3 is the least selling console in the current console war, so there Exclusives aren't going to sell better then there competition, just like PS3 3rd party games doesn't sell better then XBox 360's. since there more user install base for them.. the problem everyone keeps listening to those analysts who they say PS3 is going to have a price drop. so then those gamers keep waiting to see if it's true When gamers stop listening to those analysts, that's when PS3 will be doing better then before.. but because of these peoples yelling price drop, Sony might have to take out more features from there console. when everyone stops pressuring Sony, that's when they will announce a price drop on there time
Most of the PS3 exclusives are new, original IPs which usually take time to take off - a good chunk of public don't know too much about them and aren't willing to take a risk with something they don't know. Wait for things more well-established to come out, eg. GT5 or GOW3 and even the Uncharted sequel, and the sales will improve.
