For example, would safety eye wear (glasses/goggles) for air-soft work for construction?ORindustrial for constructionORvise versa?
I can be barefoot at work if I want to be. I drive cab, and when I am not doing anything, I can take off my sandals and be barefoot in the cab. AT the office, which is at the boss's home, I can be barefoot there as well.
I work at a history theme park, where we all wear period clothing. When it's still cold out I'm usually the only barefooter but in summer most of us in Prehistory most of the Medieval monks are barefoot. No safety rules prohibiting our barefooting, we do have a dress code that we can't wear anything that wasn't period -no modern clothing or footwear, make-up, nailpolish etc, but bare feet go well for many of us. Btw I've also done some office work barefoot did some packing sorting temp job, barefoot as well.
yes you would be in danger if you fired him and probably if he's fired unjustly could issue a lawsuit against both you and the companyIt sounds like your boss is using you to get rid of someone that is basically overshadowing him. I would tell you boss that you would be happy to fire him but your contacting HR first for approval and that without their approval you probably put yourself in danger of a lawsuit. also if your boss told you that he/she couldn't get approval from HR.. i would protect yourself and your job and quietly go to HR and tell them that your boss is pressuring you to fire so and so and you don't agree with it and you are afraid that if you don't do what your boss says that he/she may get rid of you put it on file with them.. also document every conversation you have - date, time location etc.. and keep a journal. the other thing to do if this person stays is to tell them that they have to bring all new ideas to you tell them that they will still get credit for them but its making you look bad because they are breaking the chain of command then i would just make sure that the person is recognized IF the idea is used good luck
