Can someone explain to me all the different kind of genres. From what i think:-metalcore is like hardcore metal with some screaming some regular vocals-metal is like hardcore rock???? help-death metal is a step past metalcore and there is more screaming???-black metal is like devil worshiping stuff...right?any other things i missed?P.S. my favorite metal bands are Asking Alexandria, blessthefall, and As I Lay Dying....you guys?

Linkin Park, Tool etc) Thrash Metal- Slayer Industrial Metal- Rammstein Metalcore- Killswitch Engage (Botch, Zao, BlessTheFall, Parkway Drive and all this new age Malcore eg: Asking Alexandria) Hardcore Punk- Black Flag (today, Modern Life Is War run this sub-genre) Deathcore- Chelsea Grin Nu Metal- Korn Death Metal- Cannibal Corpse Post-Hardcore- Fugazi (Silverstein, From Autumn To Ashes, Adept and today's even worse Malcore eg: Pierce The Veil) Gothic Metal- Cradle Of Filth? (Anathema, Type 0 Negative) Black Metal- Agalloch (sorry, but i'm not big on Black Metal)
