Question:

are there thin electrical safety gloves for working with small electronics?

What do you need in terms of safety when working with electricity and electronics.or just always disconnect the power source??or maybe even gloves that are thin/flexible that prevent an exacto knife from penetrating them?

Answer:

Yes, they do make difference. I live in Calgary, Alberta, so we get quite a bit of snow here as well as a lot of freeze-thaw cycles that can make the roads very icy. I have winter tires on my mazda 3 and I have not had any problems yet. Studded tires are not necessary, and since they wear out the roads, I believe they are not allowed in many places. Chains, too, are not really used in the city here at all, but they are sometimes recommended for travelling in the mountains. I have Nokian Hakkapeliitta RSis and I've been really happy with them so far.
All you need is a plastic reducing washer. 1 1/2 x 1/14.
Maybe the batteries are dying. It happens to me all the time. If the batteries are low, it will beep and that lets me know I gots ta change 'em.
Warm dust. Happens to me all the time.
