dont worry and dont be scared. make sure your doors are locked and you are safe. put on a headphone and go on youtube to watch some nice videos or listen to music. if you are tired, then go to bed. dont worry about your parents, im sure they are fine.

Alright usually if a smoke detector is chirping after the batteries have been changed it's a system malfunction. Not the detector itself but the control panel, it's pretty common with integrated systems. Call the installer and have them run diagnostics on the control panel not the detector.
