I reside in Indiana. I recently had a car alarm installed on my car and my insurance company (IDS Property and Casualty) informed me that since I resided in Indiana, I could not get a discount on mauto insurance.I knew that you could not get a discount for having a Lojack installed in Indiana.
Fire departments do not need to ask permission before using private sources of water (eg pools). Any time they do ask, they are doing it only as a courtesy. This falls under the private necessity doctrine. As for pressure, the water pressure for standard yard hydrants is no where near what a fire hydrant can create. That being said, fire departments can use these to refill/supplement truck water supplies.
