My husband and I are planning our yearly trip to Disney World, only this time we will be bringing along our infant! (Yes, I'll be one of those crazy women pushing a stroller around the Magic Kingdom!). I am aware that on a flight an infant can sit on your lap. As I'm sitting here thinking about the airplane trip, I'm wondering how to keep an infant safe in the event of an emergency. For example, each seat has an oxygen mask .. they always go through the instructions to put your mask on before assisting others. well how does that apply for a baby? I asked my husband where the baby's mask will be if there is only 1 mask per seathe said he doesn't know, and also made a good point that an oxygen mask probably wouldn't fit around the baby's head anywaysNot that I want to ever EVER have to think about this, and hope to God that we won't have to deal with this but as a new mama my baby's safety is 1 on my mind. Any other suggestions are welcome by the way! The baby will be 11 months old at the time of the flight.
You could contact Worksafe to find out if they would consider the workplace to hot. But you need to know exactly what the temperature is before contacting them. And does your boss know you are feeling uncomfortably hot, perhaps he/she could provide fans until the aircon is fixed. In the meantime, wear cool clothes and drink plenty of water. worksafe.act .au/health_sa
