I have recently seen advertisements for a motorcycle tire balancing system that consists of small beads that are to be put into the tire through the valve stem. That‘s it, the beads are supposed to balance the tire. I don‘t have any idea how it could work. I am skeptical. Any one have any info on this system. Thanks
The commercial trucking industry has been using them for years. Just because you are not up to date with the Industry standard and have never heard of an item is no reason to not trust something. Read research and LEARN before you criticize. A spin balance weighted tire begins to lose its balance as soon as the first miles put on it. Bead balance lasts the life of the tire. FYI they are DOT approved.
I've never heard of ittherefore, I wouldn't trust it. You can balance a tire on a truing stand, using standard weights, instead of putting something you have no idea about, into your tire.
I worked at a Firestone dealer a lift time ago. We ran across items such as balancing beads from time to time. We put the tire on the spin balancer and the tires would be out of balance. Don't waste your money. Have the tires balanced properly.
