Question:

Best Drugstore Pressed or Loose Powder?

Whats the best pressed or loose powder to cover up acne scars and for oily skin? I use Revlon colorstay foundation i just need a good drugstore powder!

Answer:

Hi. I have the specified equal skin as you besides i'm as light as will also be! Haha i use CoverGirl loose powder. It comes in a bit bathtub w/ a brownish prime. As for pressed powder, i've CoverGirl TruBlend but each time I apply pressed powder, my flakiness simply shows up extra so I have a tendency to use pressed w/ a brush too. Additionally, if you are oily in the course of the day, are attempting oil blotting sheets. Smooth and Clear makes some which are slightly low-cost and i've heard just right things about them. Hope this helps!
Well, most setting powders are not the most pigmented, so don't expect the powder alone to cover your acne scarring. Try a concealer for that. Revlon colorstay is already a pretty heavy duty foundation with great coverage and tough as nails staying powder. It's one of the few foundations who can be worn without setting powder. But if you insist, Maybelline Dream Matte powder is a very well known pressed powder. It offers a decent coverage (light-med) without looking overly cakey. The packaging is really nice as well. Of you have lighter skin, try Rimmel Stay Matte. It has a light coverage, but is great at keeping your makeup in place for the whole day! My personal favorite is Coty Airspun Tranclucent Setting Powder. It's a loose powder that has a matte finish at first, but then transforms into a healthy, glowy look (not oily though!). It looks amazing over revlon colorstay. Downside is, it's translucent, but you can work around that with concealer. Anyways, good luck on your search! These are all in a reasonable price range ($5-$8). Peace, love, and pandas, E
Loose Setting Powder is the first loose powder that I've ever bought. I'm not sure how it rates with other powders but I can tell you this, it is very silky (for a lack of a better word) feeling against my skin. I love it and I will continue to buy it. The translucent is wonderful because the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer I bought is a little to dark for my skin but this applied after the moisturizer evens it out perfectly.
