Ok. I know all of you say the kong is the best for a puppy. I got an extreme kong for Roscoe,my Rottweiler/lab pup. Well, he ate it, I mean theres nothing left! Anyone else have a little alligator disguised as a puppy with and ideas?? Thanks for all replies. He chews constantly, I am about ready to bring in the tire off my truck for him to chew on!!
He may be teething. Have you tried: frozen whole carrots and bananas to soothe the gums butcher bones like the other poster said bully sticks beef trachea touch nylabone with the bristles on it The last one has a name but maybe someone else can remember it. I have an English MAstiff and he destroys chew toys on contact. When he was teething we had to have a full arsenal and he would go from one thing to the next ALL DAY LONG. I hope this helps!! Also, this might sound weird and it might be just my dog but although he destroys any plush toy over the size of my hand, he loves and seems to almost 'mother little plush toys. I think he thinks thy are puppies or something and he doesnt try and eat them. Just plays gently in his mouth and sucks on them and they are alll miraculously in mint condition but covered in drool. Not even a stitch is undone he is that careful. I supervise these because I want to make sure he doesnt turn around and try and eat oneanyhow, just thought I would share that. I found out by accident because he stole a bag of finger puppets I had and I found them all lying around him on his bed. lol

Try keeping a supply of rawhide bones around for her to chew on all day and bring the chew toys out maybe once a day under your supervision. Try to put things such as shoes etc away so she can't reach them. Also dogs chew sometimes when bored. Play with her a lot, take her for long walks if possible.Maybe you already do some of these ideas:) Just trying to help.
My husband gives our chew-crazy dogs pieces of old bicycle tires - the higher the thread count the better. You can get these for free, I'm sure, by asking your local bike shop to raid their trash cans. We usually cut the tires into 1- or 2-foot strips, but sometimes we hand over an entire tire for fun. Honestly, I've been tempted to market these as an actual product. They've worked remarkably well for us.
