Mine would be Mastodon, seconded by Opeth. Also no Nu-Metal,it doesn't suck but it isn't real metal.

Answer:

This Site Might Help You. RE: What is a divalent metal? Also, do divalent metals form ionic or covalent bonds?
Divalent metals (Gp 2) typically form ionic compounds, although now that I say that, the exception of the Grignard reagent (R-MgCl), where R is an aliphatic organic group) comes to mind. However, there are many transition metals which do both: iron, for example, which forms FeCl2 (an ionic compound) or Fe(C5H5)2, covalent but derived from Fe(ii).
Divalent metals are those from the alkaline earths, and any other metal that has 2 valence electrons to give. As with any metal they form metallic bonds with other metals, and ionic bonds with the nonmetals, except of course, the noble gases. But don't confuse calcium and iron(II). Iron, for one, can be di- or trivalent. Calcium can only be divalent. So that you don't become confused, please get to know the periodic table. A good one will show all the valence states for all the elements. Soon enough you'll recognize most any element and know its possible states. I'll stop here.
Divalent Metal
Divalent metals are the metals whose atoms exhibit the valency of 2. They form ionic bond by losing or gaining 2 electrons.
