Question:

Best tires for 04 Ducati ST3 Sport Touring Motorcycle.?

Looking for the Best wet / dry handling tires. Getting High Mileage from them is not my 1st concern. Choosing from: Avon Storm ST, Michelin Pilot Road 2CT, Metzeler Roadtec Z6 Anything else worth looking at?

Answer:

a dark amazon substrate will be fine and the dark color make the color of your fish pop and to prevent cloudiness use a plate to pour the water on very slowly with this substrate you can add some very nice looking live plants but place before adding the water
I'm currently running a '98 Speed Triple on Pirelli Diablo Stradas and am favorably impressed with their dry and wet handling, warm-up time and longevity. Not so happy with the price. I'm on my 2nd front and will probably switch back to Dunlops after I wear out a 3rd rear. For me, a tire's profile is a big priority as it effects lean-in. I prefer a more rounded profile, as opposed to a steeper triangle. Personal preference and all, y'know?
You have listed street performance tyres and describe a Track style of riding. Lets be honest here Jimbo OK? Goin' to the track? Then you'll want to select a racing tyre of treadless design for dry conditions such as the Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa Race. For the street even a ME880 will do you are not likely or perhaps shouldn't push a tyre that hard on the public roadway. Ride like a knob and you'll die.
Go for a Pilot Road 2 on the back and a Pilot Power or Metzeler M3 on the front. Great grip in the wet (and dry) and you should get at least 10,000kms from them. I tried an Avon Storm and it was disappointing. Worn out by 6000 and not very grippy. Haven't tried a Z6 but have heard they last very well but again, the grip is not so great. You will be able to take the PR2 right to the edge with confidence. The PR2 front tyres last exceptionally well (18000km from my last one) but it seemed to go off before the tread wore out. Felt very wooden towards the end of its life. I now run an M3 on the front and rear but will be switching back to a PR2 for the rear as I do too many highway miles and it has just been wasted.
