I may be wrong, but I don't think it will have a BIG effect either way. The cold air is more dense and will, therefore, contain more oxygen ( and nitrogen and. ). Added oxygen will make the engine perform better but if you put your foot into the gas pedal because you feel that added power you MAY negate any possible fuel savings that MIGHT have occurred because of the dense air charge.
For a diesel engine it needs all the cool unrestricted airflow it can possibly get to run its best. For a gasoline engine cool air probably helps more when it has a turbocharger. In damp cool 100% humidity climates I like for my gas engine to draw the warmer drier air from under the hood [bonnet] into the intake manifold. Does this information help any?
it provides you with perhaps 2 to three extra miles to the gallon. Becuase in case you dont already recognize the chilly air intke can help you your engine breath alot extra effective by technique of increasing air bypass. in case you may have the funds for it get it. Its properly worth it.
Dexron III is specified for the old ZF 722.3 series transmissions, which is what you have in your vehicle. However, true Dexron III has been discontinued and unavailable since 2005. Its replacement is Dexron VI, which is either semi-synthetic or full synthetic, depending on brand. Dexron VI is vastly better in every respect: it dramatically reduces wear, improves shift performance (especially in cold weather), and lasts MUCH longer - especially the full synthetic versions. However, if your transmission is leaking or having shift problems, you might want to stick with a cheaper and thicker Dexron III-equivalent. There are many, many brands still available which claim Dexron III compatible or some such nonsense, but note that licensed, genuine Dexron III is no longer available.
