I have a Motorola cable box from Time Warner Cable in Ohio and the remote they gave me is a piece of crap. I had Dish before and I could be 2 flights of stairs up and it would still work great. Now with this remote, even when I am pointing it at the box it won't ever hardly work. I really need a better remote or something. Can I buy a new remote that will work better?
Just about any universal remote will work your cable box. I replaced mine after it got gnawed by my dogs, and the new one (which I spent about $25 on) works much better. Has a nice feel in the hands too.
