I will not be the first one to tell you that metal is better. I believe this because rappers these days are made up of two many 50 Cent or Souja Boy posers. Even the users in the Rap/Hip Hop Section are saying that rap isn't what it used to be. Old School Rap was more passionate and there weren't as many rap posers like there are today. Metal on the other hand is expanding everyday. There are probably about dozen different metal genres that have yet to be discovered by people today. I prefer to listen to Power Metal because for one reason, Power Metal proves to metal haters that you DON'T have to scream to sing a metal song. Also, Power Metal rockers don't use shock rock gimmicks to win over certain fans. This contradicts the fact that metal ISN'T satantic. Overall I would say that the metal era has been living strong where as the rap era has died out during this time period.
Definitely Metal. To me, rap isn't really music
some metal sucks, some rap sucks.. but they both have great traits and talents and tunes. I'm more of a metal person. but I'm open to anything. I hate bad metal/new metal/fake metal like friggen... system of a down and slipknot and sh it. that stuff is lame. its not even METAL. so what the hell.
Well... .... the people who play METAL create their own music, have their own instruments, have a talent. Rappers write their own cheesy stuff about drugs sex and money and start talking to it over some half assed computerized beat . EDIT - Slipknot and Korn are not metal, but atleast they write and they play their own instruments . So i have mutual respect towards them . For a second i thought it said Metal Vs Crap.
