Question:

blank skateboard wheels vs. brand skateboard wheels?

whats the difference between blank skateboard wheels and brand named wheels like spitfires?

Answer:

If you get enough water into the intake and it gets to the carburator, throttle body, etc. you wont have to worry because your engine is going to stall out. Engines run on gasoline, not water. Water will not ignite, so the car won't run. Plain and simple.
a little bit will cause damage to it,basically you need to get it up some off the ground, that would be the best way to deal with this one,if you can aim it up towards the front any at all that will help it a lot,if you add any kind of a filter to it that's going to mess with the amount of air your taking in,and almost defeat the purpose of having it on there, you can aim it a different way and help it without installing a filter on it,look it over you,ll come up with a good method of doing this, good luck with it,hope this helps.
I have been working in insurance claims for over 22 years and have handled dozens of water ingestion claims caused by those dumb-azzed air tubes. Believe me, a mud puddle is all it takes to grenade your engine and if you're lucky your insurance company will pay the loss, -- once. When the inspector discovers the cold air tube in place you will likely be non-renewed or canceled at once. Then you will have to get SR-22 state insurance for three times the cost of private insurance. Seen it happen over and over. Worst case -- you drive through some water, a few ounces gets sucked in and causes hydro-lock resulting in bent connecting rods, your insurance inspects and denies the claim based on the improper modifications and you are then on the hook for the cost of another engine. Hope you enjoy that stupid pipe, dude
dude, i've never noticed a difference, personally. I like blanks better (wheels, never boards) simply because they're cheaper, and wear just the same. brands may be a *bit smoother* but not by very much. i'd focus on your bearings first before brand wheels.
All depends on who the blank wheels are made by. If the blanks are manufacturered by the same distribution company as the major brand ones, then you are on to a safe bet, they are going to be the same, or only slightly less quality. If they are the budget blanks you see about, then you can never be too sure. They never really offer much detail in the wheel hardness or material, so you take a chance on them. In the bigger picture though, buying blank wheels means that no pro riders are being paid from your purchase. If you have a favourite skater and thinks he deserves lunch on you then you should probably buy their wheels out of gratitute. The industry depends on pro's being allowed to express skateboarding, spread it's message and add to it's progression. But I don't think anyone would blame you for buying blanks, it is money after all and it does all add up!
