I was cleaning the glass on my windshield this weekend. I proceeded to lift the wiper arm up, perpendicular to the windshield to clean, which I always do. When I did this, I must‘ve moved the arm VERY slightly to the side. Usually, If I had done this, the wiper would stay, but it went loose on me, and moved a tiny bit to the side. It felt loose. I tried operating my wipers from the inside of the car, and the left wiper moved to the left side of the windshield and stopped there in the up position, while the right wiper did it‘s normal thing. I turned off the wipers, and moved the wiper manually back to the position it usually is in when wipers are turned off. Then, I tried it again later today. This time, the driver‘s wiper didnt move at all, instead, only the passenger wiper. Do any of you know what this could be? Mechanical/physical? Expensive/cheap? Thanks!!
Check for a loose connection where the wiper hooks up. The nut may have loosened.
I believe the nut keeping the wiper tight in place is loose causing it to just not move when you turn the wipers on. Look at end of the wiper arm like where it mounts. There is a nut there that is used for adjusting the position of the wipers. If you dont see it right away there could be a little cover that just pops off to get to it. So anyway when you get to it just get a wrench or a ratchet to tighten it up if if its loose which im guessing it is. Thus should solve your problem
it could be either one. jack it up and shke the wheel and turn it. ull no if its that wheeh
