Answer:

I assume you are talking about the Kensingston lock here. Read the info below from A Kensington Security Slot (also called a K-Slot or Kensington lock) is part of an anti-theft system designed by Kensington Computer Products Group. It is a small, metal-reinforced, oval hole found on almost all small or portable computers and electronics equipment, particularly on expensive ones, such as laptops, computer monitors, desktop computers, gaming consoles, and video projectors. It is used for attaching a lock-and-cable apparatus, in particular those from Kensington. Locks are generally secured in place with a key or combination lock attached to a rubberized metal cable. The end of the cable has a small loop that allows the cable to be looped around a permanent object, such as a heavy table or other similar equipment, thus securing it in place. Its just prevents anyone from stealing ur laptop if you were to leave it unattended thats it, retail store use the same for display models.
I think it's sort of pointless; just take care of your electronics and don't leave them unattended.
It depends upon what the plumber's rates are in your area where you live. If the burst pipe has been exposed all somebody has to do is repair the pipe, It shouldn't take over an hour. When you call, just ask how much their hourly rate is? Something that small, you wouldn't get an estimate for. Good luck.
Greetings, good news, you don't need to replace it! go an buy a valve that is the same size. or if you are unsure buy the same make of valve and replace all but the nut and compression ring. This will save you a lot of time and head ache. If however you have plenty of room left on the supply line, you can just cut off the old valve and install the new. If you want to try to fix the old valve, take off the stem nut and see if the stem will come out. (turn it counter clockwise) sometimes that is all that is needed to free the valve. good luck.
