Question:

By adding additives to my transmission, will it hold last a month so I can get money to fix or buy a new car?

My transmission is acting up, sometimes it just revs up but continues to go. Other times it seems not to want to shift gears. This only happens when it is hot out, it runs fine in the morning when I go to work and it‘s cool out. A mechanic at work said to use an additive and get the transmission oil changed because there are bands in the tranny that may have loosened and the additive will tighten them up

Answer:

false information, no additive will fix that and flushing or draining and filling it could kill it
Thanks for the expertise about RainX. I acquired my automobiles' oil alternate a few month ago. They determine for everything, including windsheild wipers. My car is a 2009,and i have to verify the wipers extra often given that the warmness of the summer down the place I are living , makes the wiper blades ruin turbo.
he is a mechanic in the broadest sense of the term, the only way to fix your problem is new tranny or repair old 1.
Anyone who made such a suggestion is no mechanic. There is no liquid fix that can repair a transmission. The only way to keep it working is to repair what is worn out.
One motor ,usually. Costs depends on vehicle ,wide cost range.
