Question:

can a Ford 302 turn a Dana 60 solid front axle and a Sterling 10.25 rear axle?

i want to put axles from a friends truck (1990 ford f350 4x4 with a 460 ) on a 1984-1985 ford bronco with a 302 c6 because the truck got in a accident and the frame was cracked from the way the person hit them and i don‘t want the parts to go to waste but is a Ford 302 able to turn those axles?

Answer:

if it's to big to plug, they can patch it,and use a tube. if it's a front tire i wouldn't do it personally.
yea we fix tires like that all the time around here.
It will depend on the axle gearing
Frames are easily fixed, welded and reinforced. A 302 can certainly turn the axles, as they are actually easier to turn, since they have floating shafts and better bearings. But the first problem is they are going to be too wide. The Bronco also has coils in the front with differential arms trailing back to hold it in place. Not sure if the larger differential would fit into those arms. Then there would be problems like mating the tie rod ends, drive shafts, etc. Might be an improvement, but a lot of work. Especially when the truck is so easily fixed. You can even cut out a section of frame and weld in a new piece, easily.
