Question:

Can a person make a claim against my insurance company for an accident that never happened? No police report.?

My son was driving my vehicle while out on a date with a young lady he'd met. He says that the woman got extremely intoxicated, started acting crazy, and jumped from truck while it was moving down the road at about 15mph. About a year and a half later, the woman is making a claim against my insurance company claiming that my son ran into a fire hydrant and now she has a neck injury. Of course the woman never made a police report because the police would have wanted to see the truck, and therefore would have seen that there wasn't any damage; but her claim is that she didn't make the report because she was scared. This all happened in MN and my question is what can they do? Will my insurance pay this bogus claim? I am a little nervous because she has some attorney who has taken up her case.

Answer:

Yes it is really important to install carbon monoxide detectors. Carbon monoxide has no smell and before you notice it, it could be too late. You should place them on every floor of your home, but If you are only going to buy one I suggest installing it near sleeping areas. I will share an experience I had with Carbon Monoxide. I never took carbon monoxide as seriously as I should until I almost died from it. At work we have a heater that heats up the maintenance shop. I was working the early shift and it was a Monday, well the heaters exhaust rusted through so the carbon monoxide was venting into the shop. Over the weekend it filled up the shop with carbon monoxide and as I was walking through and unlocked my toolbox and started making coffee, I noticed My eyes where dry and stinging a little but I have always had a problem with dry eyes so I didn't think twice, than I started to feel light headed and before I could do anything about it, I passed out. Luckily A supervisor was walking through and saw me pass out and got me to fresh air. After that incident, I have installed detectors In ever bedroom and floor in my house.
If one story home 1 is all you need. If two story. One on each floor.
At least one, on the ground floor, and near a bedroom. Also, read up on carbon monoxide to familiarize yourself on how it can be created.
This is not even legal. It is abuse. You can't legally deprive a minor of sleep, control when they can go to the bathroom, and they can't keep you inside all day. Jails cant even do that except for in extreme cases. You need to literally just walk out of there and if your parents call the cops. Explain to them the entire story.
I would not think you're dumb at all and I wouldn't beat yourself up about it, especially since people are getting fired left and right. It's not like you had much of a chance with the poor economy running rampant! Nonetheless it still hurts and we can't help but to take it personally no matter what. I highly doubt it had anything to do with your stuttering since that isn't a reason at all to fire someone, (after all, they liked you enough to hire you, right?) however, I have a sneaking suspicion it had something to do with your lack of confidence. Your not dumb at all, but low confidence can make you look and feel dumb even when you're not. Your lack of confidence may have shown through and reflected upon your work. Especially since a lack of confidence can make us second guess ourselves and make a lot of wrong moves and mistakes for no reason other than our own silly insecurities. Try to think more positively about yourself and have that yes I can attitude. If you don't have confidence, just fake it! It's not as hard as you think, especially with practice. It's kind of like acting. Confidence will probably even cure your stutter completely since stuttering is often times a sign of nervousness (sometimes I can stutter so much when I'm uncomfortable, that I can barely finish my sentence)! I know how it is to be shy. It's really, really hard and no one seems to understand that you can't just get out there and do your 'song and dance' routine like everyone else seems to be able to do so effortlessly. Believe me, we've all gotten fired before so don't feel too alone. Cheer up! They lost a good employee and that's their problem! Wish them good luck on finding someone else who actually does their job right and comes to work on time, 'cause they're gonna need it! And btw, you're much better than Mcdonaldsbelieve me!! Try your luck as a hostess at a restaurant or something like that instead.
