I was looking to get a set of aftermarket wheel for my new car (I can‘t stand the steelies, with the cheap plastic hub caps). The said aftermarket wheels are the same dimensions as the stock OEM ones. I was going to go to my dealer, and have them install the wheels. My question is, would it void my warranty, even if the dimensions are the same?
I would say keep it depending on how good the gas mileage is. The car market is like the housing market right now which means it sucksUnless you have a hybrid vehicle, in that case you could probably make money off of it.
Try to pay it without going delinquent to avoid hurting your credit. If the vehicle is worth as much as the payoff on it, then sell it (dealerships are sometimes willing to buy without you having to buy anything from them) also try private sale. sometimes your bank will have to approve the amount your selling it for (if its less than the payoff) in order to release the title. If you're in debt and you are having a hard time making the payments the banks will sometimes do whats called a short sale. sell it to the dealership for less than whats owed, and then you pay back the balance owed at less than your usual monthly payment (100/month versus 200 or whatever your case may be) It all depends on your financial situation. Good luck! If you need help, always contact your bank, they should be more than willing to work with you and your needs.
no longer likely guarantee is for force prepare like motor and transmission. thro bigger wheels ought to do harm to transmission and front end areas yet in basic terms custom wheels of a similar length wouldnt
If the rims have the same diameter and with of OE wheels they should not circumvent your warranty. But why would you have the dealership mount them? Simply have a local tire and wheel installer do the job. The dealership is simply giving you grief for your request for asking them to install an aftermarket product. As long as you stay within OE specs on the rims you are legit.
Aftermarket wheels will not totally void your warranty. However, if something were to happen that was the cause of the wheels being installed, like a wheel falling off, this would not be covered. Your warranty can not be totally voided by installing aftermarket parts. However, your warranty can exclude repairs that have been caused by the addition of the aftermarket parts.
