Hey i need to know what icabod crane did in sleepy hollow the tim burton version with johnny depp.. so far all i have is In the movie he is a detective or a constable, someone who tries to solve crimes. He stands up for what he believes in even though no one might stand up with him. He used instruments of his own kind. Any information will help..Thank you very much Thx again

He was a weird inventor of things, i think. He went to Sleepy Hollow to stop the headless horseman who was being summoned by the girl's (the one he like) stepmother or aunt (don't remember the relation) to take out people. She wanted power or money, maybe both from the victims.
He fell in love while there. There were many murders while he was there. He used scientific instruments in a day and age when nobody else did. The town didn't like that about him; they blamed spells and curses. He looked into the crimes when nobody else would. They were too scared. It turns out that it was a headless horseman responsible for the crimes. There were a few witches in the movie.
