can i cast polyurethane resin in a polymer modelling clay?

Answer:

Congrats on your new typewriter! A friend of mine and I are wild about typewriters and own several. Regular computer paper should indeed work in your Remington, however, I would recommend feeding in two sheets at a time. This will provide extra cushioning when the slugs (letters) strike the platen (rubber roller) and help keep the platen from getting dented or damaged. In fact, you should be able to use any non-glossy paper. If it doesn't work, the ribbon is likely getting dry. A great resource is the Yahoo group The Portable Typewriter Forum. Although the Rand 5 doesn't look like a portable, there are many valuable resources regarding cleaning and maintaining your typewriter that would be the same for any manual typewriter.
I think plain printer paper would work, why not?
I use A5 pure cotton paper which I buy from Original Crown Mill. It has a nice weight and takes ink well from a typewriter. My typewriter is a Baby Empire Aristocrat from the 1940's.
If you hold the cigarette directly under it, YES, it will go off. Smoke in the room for several hours without letting ANY of the smoke out, YES it will go off.
