Can I change a fan switch on the heat exchanger on my furnace myself?

Answer:

If you have electrical and/or heating and cooling experience, you probably could. If not, call a heating and cooling company.
sure - read the instructions, set the cut in and cut-out temperatures on the dial the same that the old one was
depends, how crafty are you, have you ever worked on electrical equipment before? if yes then sure you can. if its just a switch i dont see it having more than a few wires to unscrew from the old and screw into the new
if you can change wires from one switch to another then you shouldn't have any problems, just make sure you get the same relay so you don't have any problems, but if you do they have instructions in the relay pack that will take you through the process,or you can go to the web site that makes your heat unit and it should have a wiring diagram
Sure you can. Remember this: break the tab between the low voltage and the high voltage on the bottom or you will need to buy another. Most of the fan switches are made for many different applications in the fan world. Some equipment uses low voltage for controls some do not. If your old fan switch has the tab broken at the bottom between the limit and the fan controls you must break that tab on your new part or your low voltage transformer will be toast. Inside the cover should be a note reminding you to do so.
