No its not haram, the prophet said you can preform it but the only thing you can't perform is Tawaf.

You'd get a more accurate answer if you specifically addressed this to some fellow Muslims I think...but given that the Quran teaches that women are filthy as they menstruate, and men are to consider them unclean...I would take a guess and say there may be a restriction based on this...but not 100% sure.
