Question:

Can I press charges?

Yesterday my son's preschool teacher decided to break her contract and quit in the middle of the day. Not only that, but she just walked out and left 15 four year olds alone in the room. Thank goodness another teacher saw her leave and took over until the administrators were informed. The school is considering pressing charges. If they don't, can I? It seems to me that leaving a bunch of small children alone in a room is child endangerment or neglect or something. Needless to say, Im mad, and so is everyone at the school. I think they're going to press charges. But if they don't, I want to know my options.

Answer:

Yes you can press charges. As a parent and involved party you need to make a police report and Demand they take action. Do not be nice about this as this idiot needs any credential she posseses to be jerked. In the event the police advise you cannot press charges do a few things, one, demand (be a *****) an explanation as to why supported by department policy and then personaly see the County District attorney and again demand they pursue the matter' I sense you will not have any roadblocks as this type case is a political bomb waiting to go off.
was your child hurt when she left? Although she showed rotten judgment in leaving without your child being hurt I see no reason to sue.I would however change the childs school!
Absolutely, as someone else said, she needs her teaching credentials revoked. Press charges even if the school does also.
Yes you can. You can also give the school a very hard time for hiring such an irresponsible person. No matter what her excuse, she should first have made sure that the children were well attended she should have informed her superiors.
That Is Unfortunate. But Dont Assume You Know The Whole Story. It Doesnt Justify What She Did. But Suppose She Has Alot Going On In Her Life, Lets Not Make It A Federal Case When No Actual Harm Was Done.
