We have an addition that sticks out from our home about 5 feetWe were recently replacing a drop ceiling in our kitchen and noticed a cold draft coming from the addition next to the kitchenUpon further inspection we noticed the insulation was put on the side walls, but there was nothing on the ceiling part that stuck out from the house (i hope this makes sense)We were considering blowing in some insulation (since we have access through the drop ceiling in the kitchen)The addition sticks out about 5 feet and is approx15 feet wideThe only thing up there is two ceiling lights and the heating duct workDoes anyone have any ideas on what is the best way to tackle this situation??

if there's a draft find the hole outside and use great stuff gap filler, it's an insulationAs far as using blow-in there is no problem as long as you put in the minimum amount for the R-Value(my state ceilings is minR-38) Do not use blow-in over accoustical, you should know thatmake sure you have drywall or some form of panel there for supporthaha, sorry for that Duh commentGood luck.
