can i use fix a flat to fix a leaky motorcycle tire? other patch options?
In an emergency, yes. As a permanent fix, no. Depending on if you have a tube or not
Many times I have removed a nail or other object from the tire and patched the tube. I have always run tubes, even in cast wheels (early ones were known to be porous). As long as the damage was a simple puncture, I didn't do anything to the tire itself. Dunlop recommends a patch/plug as the only repair. Fix-A-Flat in a motorcycle tire? NO WAY. Read the can - not recommended for motorcycle tires. Use it on a spoked wheel with a tube and the pressure will leak through the spoke holes. All you get is a sticky mess - and a flat tire.
