dude I hate chains because they limit how fast and far you can drive. If you go over about 5mph then will come apart and destroy your nice BMW. Plus it is like driving with four square tires. In the U.S. the fire department connections to sprinkler systems and risers is covered by NFPA 13, which surprisingly enough doesn't include a height requirement.
