Question:

can lime juice substitute hydrochloric acid in a science project measuring anti-acids?

My son is doing a science experiment too see which antacid on the market nuetralizes acid best. I dont want him handling hydrochloric acid. Can I use lime juice? the Ph levels are close

Answer:

i would think so
limes DO have seeds in them! I have strained enough seeds out of my cherry limeades to know this! And yes, some lime peels are yellowed but the lime is still good to eat unless it has been sitting there in the water for over a day!
