I have dish network is there anyways they can be taking my cable and recording what they what when I have it set to record something I want?? I have it set up and come home and find out it totally skipped it.
Not only is that not cable, that is sad you think they are stealing satellite from you.
No, that's not possible. There is more likely another reason the recorder is not taping what you selected. It may be out of recording space, or could not get a good enough signal from the satellite.
if you have cable, they can be stealing from you, but if you have a satellite service, there is no way to steal from you. The receiver controls the LNB on the dish, and you cannot have two receivers sharing the same LNB. You might want to invest in an uninterruptable power supply for your receiver and recording device.
