I just bought a house and the owner never gave me the keys to the house, Just the ones in the lockbox for the real estate agents. I found the keys to the other doors hidden outside weeks later (Ahhh!) but I do not have keys to the kwikset double sided deadbolt on my steel garage door. I want to replace it but I can't figure out how to get the lock apart. I am only able to remove the two face plate screws on the interior side of the door, underneath that there are no other screws or an inside cover. Here are some pictures
Try to decide what sort of romantic story you want to write. Like boy likes girl next door but she does not notice him. THEN see if you can solve his problem with some sort of technology. It can be something we have today, just expanded. Or it can be what you can think of as the next step in a current technology. (Like cell video phones or computers controlled by brain implants) It does not have to be 100 years in the future with way out stuff. Science Fiction deals with how technology changes or effects society. So, boy wants girl. He uses some technology to get her. What could go right, and what if something goes wrong? What if he uses something that makes her want him too much? OR what if he uses something that makes her HATE him so much she just wants to kill him? Try working that out. I hope your story comes out well.

You could write about an expedition to start a Martian colony and they meet en route. If you want a love story, you could write that they got married so they would qualify as colonists and didn't really know each other. After they get to Mars they have to decide whether to try and make things work, or confess and call it off.
