Question:

Can windshield replacement affect or damage windshield wipers?

I had my windshield replaced last week and now I notice that my windshield wipers don‘t work properly. The don‘t come back to their resting position horizontally like before. Through the glass, I can see that in their resting position, they are about 2-3 inches higher than before. I have to manually push them down for them to lay horizontal on the glass. Also, I‘ve noticed that the blades are pressed against the windshield really tight. When the blades move across the glass, they move slower than usual like there‘s tension. I‘d like to know if this could be related to my windshield replacement. I want to call up the windshield guy but don‘t want to accuse him of something if they aren‘t related. I have a Honda CRV 2002. Can anyone offer some advice on what I should do? Thanks.

Answer:

thank you for the techniques approximately RainX. I have been given my vehicles' oil replace some month in the past. They verify for each little thing, such as windsheild wipers. My motor vehicle is a 2009,and that i'd desire to learn the wipers greater frequently with the aid of fact the warmth of the summer season down the place I stay , makes the wiper blades wreck swifter.
try replacing the wiper blades, they could be worn - changing the windscreen has no effect on the wipers unless the mechanic damaged the wipers which is unlikely due to their training
They had to remove the wipers to install the windshield and didn't get them back on right. You just have to pull the arms off and put them back on in the right position.
