Can you be fired based on who you voted for?
As somebody who has gone through football gloves, batting gloves, golf gloves, and soccer goalie gloves over the last 6 or 7 years I can tell you that the answer is: none of them. There isn't one brand over another that is better. They are all slightly different, and it all comes down to your feel. Some gloves are wider. Some are tighter. Some have stitching in certain places or others. Some have a tacky surface in some places or others. Some have padding in certain places or others. Try on a bunch of different pairs of gloves and see what feels best. As long as you don't buy some non-name brand at the dollar store, you'll be fine. My personal preferance for football gloves is NFL Equipment or UnderArmour. But that's not to say that if you find a pair of Reebok or Nike or Cutters that you really like that you shouldn't buy them.
Big Lots has the best deal. Don't buy JC Penney without reading the reviews. They are no good.
Go with Cutters. They're like glue. When they're dry and dirty they lose a bit of the stickiness, but as soon as you wet them, they're like glue again.
