i just got braces a day ago, and of course i hate em. i made a choice of having ceramic braces on top and bottom, and now i regret it. is there any way i can switch to metal? will they let you do that w/out charging you again?
Right well answer to one of your questions is yes the oil does have big thing to do with the engine and can make the engine light come on. So find the dipstick on the car yellow handle somewhere found in the engine bay, (Make sure the vehicle is on flat ground first!) Take the dipstick out wipe it put it back in and take it out again and make sure there is enough oil in the car if it is low then fill it if you dont know how to tell if it is low look in the vehicle handbook it should tell you what you need to know. If it is not that then try checking the coolant level again everything should be explained in the handbook but there is something on the top of the engine called an expansion tank (usually a white small tank) and look on the side normally it will have markings saying max min if it is too low the this will trigger the engine management light Hope this helps
In addition to what CDA! said, metal is stronger, has faster results, better in very crooked teeth and also cheeper. go for metal
ceramic braces usually cost more than metal braces and are also less efficient and less stronger that metal ones. you will have to be charged for taking them off and removing the bonding materials used to put them in. you will also of course be charged with the cost of the metal replacement and the work necessary to put them in. i'm sorry but that's the way it is. so lesson learned: know what you want so as to make the right decision.
