can you make motorcycle tires shine?
Oh my god!! Did she actually suggest putting petroleum jelly on a motorcycle tire?? Gee, let me thinksince it is pertoleum based, it will cause tires to break down quicker, it's slippery and will run when hot down onto the tread area, when you lean in a curve you are going to have slick and slippery gunk on the tire.gee, what could be wrong with that? Go to the bike shop, any bike shop and get the correct products to give the sidewalls a shine if that is what you want. Me, I just make sure to clean em good with quality prooducts from the dealer, I don't worry about shiney tires. I shine the chrome and keep the paint well waxed, the tires are for traction. ride safe
Sure.for a little while. What most people do is go to the store and buy tire cleaner. Some of them will make the tires shine.it'll say on the bottle. Another thing you can do is rub vaseline (petroleum jelly) on the tires to make the gleem. DON'T put too much.just a tiny amount will do. Otherwise, you'll just have dirty stuck to your tires. I also wouldn't put it anywhere that parts touch the tire, or the tire touches the roadas it is oil based, and therefore slippery. You can also try using baby oil for the same effect.although I've never seen it done on tires. Finally, I don't know if they sell these tires for bikes.but they sell them for cars.so it's possiblebut they sell tires that actually shine on their own. They're a lot more expensive.but.you've gotta do what you've gotta do. I've see them at discount tire.so i assume theys ell them pretty much anywhere.
