After initial training, you can take a cell phone virtually anywhere. AS to weather or not you can use it or even receive a signal, would depend on where the missile field was located and under what operational security you were functioning. I know that if I were a commander and my troops and I were in a potentially hazardous area, I would order all cell phones turned off/confiscated, as the signals emitted by them can be homed-in on, or the phones used to give away our position to the enemy.

Absolutely not dude! There's a thing called HERO Hazards of radio communication on ordinance. A cell phone or a walkie talkie could set a bomb off and any missile loading or handling area should have this posted. It should be common knowledge.
What on earth is a missile field? lmao. I know if you use any sort of radio equipment, weather it be military radios or personal cell phones to a land mine field where there are bombs, it will set them off (some kinds) But um... missile field?
To the fields yes, into the silo, im not sure. I was on the other side of the missile field.
