can you use ceramic mortar to install porcelain tiles?

Answer:

Thinset For Porcelain Tile
Not sure what you are calling ceramic mortar. If it is quick-set mortar, the answer is yes.
Only IF the ceramic mortar/ thin set is a modified or latex modified type. There are some plain type thin sets that shouldn t be used in a porcelain tile application Both white or grey will work fine. Like I said, as long as they are they modified type. And the average joe should never use the quick set type thin setIt an SOB to properly work with Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
