Question:

Can you use your radio controls to control you iPod that is connected with an aux cable?

If i plug my iPod into the deck in my car using an aux cable can i use the controls on the deck to or do i still have to use the iPod controls? My deck is a Kenwood KDC-MP238 WMA/MP3 CD.

Answer:

is your using an aux, you control the song through the ipod. volume through the radio.
If you are using a headphone to headphone jack to connect to your current headunit then you would have to use the Ipod to track up/down and so forth. The headunit will only control the headunit volume, bass, treble, balance, and fader. If you want full control over your ipod then you would need the Kenwood KCA-IP500 in order to control the ipod through the headunit. If there are any other question please ask ME. Not the DUMBASS that replied yes you can control the ipod through the AUX CABLE.
Using aux input, you can control volume only. Also standard bass/treble/balance/fader. You need need radio that has iPod controls through docking cable to actually control the iPod.
extra desirable than probable no longer. you're able to desire a radio which you would be able to plug an entire administration ipod cable into it. maximum new sturdy aftermarket radios have this option, and a few even incorporate the cable.
