Check the tires for signs of dry rot and how much tread is left on them. Replace as necc. Check the air pressure in each one- the bike should have a small sticker on it usually on the swing arm to give you the tire pressure for both front and rear. If not, then get a service manual for the bike-which is not a bad idea anyway. Most items you can do yourself and this way you have all the specs. Depending on make and year of bike, you could start running tests on charging system components, but unless it is giving you problems, why? Ask when the battery was last replaced. Walmart has good prices on motorcycle batteries (and oil filters for m.c.). Get a trickle type charger for the bike. That way you only need plug it in when the bike is going to be sitting for a few days and the battery life will be doubled, if you get a charger like the battery tender or one that will never overcharge the battery. don't believe me? most people can get 5-8 years out of a bike battery-some longer, when they use religiously a battery tender type of battery feeder.
