Question:

Cell phone alarm?

how long does it ring for the alarm ??i left mine in skewl and i forgot to disable it !!!

Answer:

Nobody will get shot. It's a fictional scenario with a zero probability of occurrence. Also, concealed carry laws require taking classes, which reinforce de-escalation of situations, not escalation. OK, your scenario imagines everybody involved is a dipshit liberal who is unable to assess the situation. Conservatives think before acting. You wouldn't understand
Install a lightning rod with a direct cable to ground down the outside of the house, not connected to the electric ground but to a separate pipe in the ground. If it touches the water table, good. Use surge suppressors on electronics. I'm not sure they're that effective, but they're cheap. I have a lightning suppressor for a VHF radio antenna on a boat - a feedthrough designed to be grounded to allow a lightning strike to bypass the radio and go direct to ground. There may be similar things for phone lines, cable TV etc. That should probably be outside the house, grounded separately to a 3rd ground (if there's a strike on the rod, you don't want to feed it back to the phone or the electric wiring) Before throwing big $$ at this, consult a professional or at least find a professional website. Touch wood, we don't get lightning here, so I don't have practical experience (I haven't actually hooked up the antenna thing)
