I really want ceramic braces but I don‘t want to look like a dumbass if they get stained? Any tips or foods to avoid?
i might circulate with steel because of the fact they artwork speedier than the ceramics. And after a whilst the sparkling ceramic ones gets grimy and noticable. Plus, you are able to shave some months off the quantity of time you need to positioned on them and shop funds.
i have ceramic braces and they do not stain! that is a common misconseption. they are also a whole lot more comfortable than the metal ones {i have metal on the bottom} they rub my lips less and move my teeth quicker. they are also alot less notice able. for the first little while i could talk to people face to face and the wouldn't notice i had braces!
I don't really like ceramic braces for teens. Here's my reasoning. You can still see the brackets and wires REALLY well. Don't think that ceramic means invisible. Also, I think ceramic looks worse, because it makes your teeth look really plaque filled. If you are a teenager, I recommend you just get normal braces. I feel as though teens who get ceramic braces are ashamed of their orthodontia. Don't be. There are tons of teens out there with traditional metal braces. No one will think anything of it. Also, as a general rule, teens do much worse with their diet and making sure the brackets don't get stained. Stained brackets are just gross. If you are an adult, I can understand why you might prefer ceramic braces. They are used much more often in adults. Because of many occupations, it is necessary that the adults' mouths do not stand out too much. In this case, I can see why ceramic is better. Ceramic tooth color is definitely more subtle than hot pink or lime green brackets. Up close, it looks pretty gross though. Anyways. Foods to Avoid: Definitely Curry (Non Clear) Soda Slushies Anything with tons of any type of color (candies, etc). Plus the traditional no-go foods when you have braces: Anything chewy, crunchy, or sticky Carrots, apples, gum, popcorn, tootsie rolls, air heads, taffy, etc.
